XSeries Training

Before using the XSeries, users must be trained to properly use the equipment to make certain that all safety precautions are taken to maximize the fall protection capabilities of the XSeries 1250 and XSeries 1260.

The 2 main areas that need to be addressed are calculating free fall distance and understanding swing fall hazards. See below for more information.

Calculating Free Fall Distance:

Working Area/Use:

When using the XSERIES, the walking/working surface being accessed by the user must be of a sufficient height as to NOT allow any part of a worker's body to strike an object, or come in contact with the next lower level in the event of a fall arrest situation.

Understanding Swing Fall Hazards:

Malta Dynamics Limits Off-Plumb Usage of SRD's to 30 degrees.

The XSeries may be used up to 30 degrees off-plumb in all directions other than towards the mast of your XSeries as long as the user cannot strike an object or the next lower level in a fall arrest.
